Macquarie St Workplace

Macquarie street is a Commerical workplace office fitout for two corporate clients in an existing 1970’s office building in Sydney.

The fitout includes a series of complex programmatic arrangements with multiple foyers, circulation and security requirements, workstations and private offices that shaped the design.

The design has flexibility that allows both clients to use the spaces for multiple purposes including training events, functions and campaigning.

Flexible meeting rooms flank one side of the floor plate and enable multiple configurations of space for one tenant, whilst maintaining the views out to the Botanic Gardens from the east. The other tenant required a complex security circulation solution and workstation flexibility due to the flux in staff numbers during intense periods of campaigning

A pared-back material palette of marble flooring paired with whitewashed ply custom joinery and existing concrete was chosen to complement the client’s corporate identities.
