Clovelly House
Atoma Design was engaged to bring an old 1920's brick home into a contemporary context for a growing family.
Our response was to alter the floor plan by subtracting walls and adding warm plywood linings and joinery that redefined the existing spaces and provided a functional component for the growing family.
A new barn door was added to the existing kitchen to the outside deck and bbq area, seamlessly connecting the spaces inside and out.
A larger bathroom was created out of the existing entrance of the brick home towards the front and a lavish walk-in robe and powder room was developed for the master bedroom.
A new library lined with plywood joinery was formed by a demolition of internal walls to create an open plan living, library and music room. The library houses a record and guitar collection and many books, collected over the years.
